Marisol Salanova has held the position of Director and Editor-in-Chief at Arteinformado since March 2025. A distinguished art critic and curator, she is widely recognised for her singular curatorial approach and her engagement with contemporary artistic practices. Her professional activity encompasses curatorial direction, exhibition design and academic writing, all of which are marked by her intellectual rigour and a deep commitment to critical discourse. Having earned a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from the University of Valencia, she subsequently completed a Master’s in Artistic Production. As a visiting lecturer, Ms Salanova has received invitations to lead high-level seminars and workshops at esteemed institutions, including—but not limited to—the University of Oxford, the University of Brighton, and the University of California. From 2017 to 2020, she served as a tenured professor in the undergraduate programme in Fashion Design at Barreira School of Art + Design, a higher education institution officially recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Education. Between 2012 and 2020, she co-directed the publishing house Micromegas alongside Javier Castro Flórez, focusing on the production of critical essays on contemporary art. Ms. Salanova is a regular contributor to the newspaper ABC, as well as the national radio network Cadena SER, where she discusses issues related to art, technology, and communication. Ms Salanova is the co-author of "Taylor Swift, en primera persona" (Kultrum, 2024) as well as "Innovación desde el museo. Ensayos sobre emergencia cultural" (Generalitat Valenciana, 2021). She is also the sole author of "Inteligencia artística" (Editorial Plataforma, 2023) and "La crítica de arte en la actualidad" (Akal, 2024), both of which have been warmly received within academic and curatorial circles.
